Life Hacks

  1. Woke up with a positive attitude. It can seem like there are no positive thinking benefits in that moment. You’re disappointed because you want the full glass. Or, maybe you feel like your glass doesn’t exist at all. Angry, frustrated, disappointed, sad, afraid — you need to spend some time with those negative feelings.
  2. Small contribution towards your health. Morning workouts typically mean you’re less prone to distractions. When you first wake up, you haven’t started tackling the day’s to-do list. You’re also less likely to get phone calls, text messages, and emails. Regular exercise is excellent for boosting energy and reducing fatigue. When you work out, oxygen and nutrients travel to your heart and lungs. This improves your cardiovascular system, endurance, and overall stamina.
  3. Take a step forward to your goals. Reaching your goals is all about incremental progress. If goals were easy, everyone would be wildly successful. Goals take lots of concentrated effort over a long period of time. However, progress always begins with one step. And one step is easy. Effort brings action. Action leads to momentum.
  4. Duty is god. Man feels, happiness and peace of mind results from spiritual practices, but in reality it is not so. Mind is the root cause for happiness and sorrow. Conquering the mind will lead you to a stage of equanimity, wherein you treat the dualities alike. Once you control your mind, you will grow beyond the dualities of sadness and happiness. Welcome sorrow just as you welcome happiness. In fact the happiness that you derive out of pleasure is negligible compared to the happiness that results from difficulties. “Nasukhaath Labhyathe Sukham”, happiness is derived only from difficulties, but man wants only happiness, not difficulties.
  5. Go to your bed on time. Research on people who have unusual sleep schedules, like those working night shifts, has proven what many of us know instinctively: The best hours for sleep are when it’s dark out. If possible, arrange your schedule so you can get to sleep at night rather than during the day, preferably after 8 p.m. when it’s become dark.
